1/3 cup each chopped fresh mushrooms, onion, and green pepper (I have made it without each of these...chosing what I have and what we like)
10 slices turkey pepperoni
2 tbs tomato paste
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 lb lean ground beef (I use turkey)
4 whole whate hamburger buns
4 slices provolone cheese
4 tbs pizza sauce (optional)
In a food processor, combine the vegetables, pepperoni, tomato paste and seasonins; cover and pulse just until blended. Transfer to a large bowl; stir in bread crumbs. Crumble beef (turkey) over mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties. .
Grill until cooked through. Top with provolone cheese and pizza sauce.
I make 8 really thin patties. On 4 of the patties I top with a slice of cheese and then I put the other 4 patties on top of that and press lightly to make one all encompassed patty.
